THE WELL
 
 

‘The Well’ started as a pop-up café in our church carpark after Covid restrictions began to lift In July 2020. We wanted to offer a friendly and welcoming space for our community to come together again all the while enjoying a great cup of coffee and slice of cake. We made the decision to operate as a ‘pay as you feel’ café to be accessible to everyone and within the first 6 weeks of opening we had nearly 1,000 people come from our local community.

Due to its success, we converted the side hall of our current church building into a wonderful light and airy space that is now home to our community Café every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. We continue to serve great coffee that is roasted locally in Kingsnorth and is responsibly and ethically sourced and all our cakes are baked by a local business in Ashford. 

We have also partnered with several schools and organisations who regularly send pupils to volunteer in the café to learn new skills in customer service and also to train on our barista machine. When our community café is not open, the space is then used to run community and church focused events. We have recently launched a Community Fridge and we also partner with FareShare to give away Food Boxes to those in need in our local community - both operating out of The Well.

I have been a regular visitor to The Well since it opened in July 2020. Now as the manager, it is my absolute pleasure to welcome both my volunteers and our guests through the doors of this warm and inviting Community Cafe.

As well as my 24 years experience in a retail/customer facing environment, I have a real passion and heart for loving people, praising The Lord and serving my community. I have lived in Willesborough for over 7 years and I'm a Mama to two girls.
