10AM This Sunday
SUNDAY GATHERING - SERVICE TIME CHANGE 10:00AM - On Sunday as many as you know it is the World Cup final and it is the first time England will be in a World Cup final since 1966. However, the match is at 11am which would be in the middle of our morning service. Therefore, we have decided that we are going to shift our service time to start at 10am rather than 10:30am and will aim to finish at 11am so that we can put football on the big screen then we can all watch it together (or those who want to stay can!)
Therefore, be ready to sit and join in our Summer for everyone service at 10am and if you want to stay and watch football it will be streamed on the big screen from as close to 11am as we can! If you are planning to stay think about bringing snacks - particularly snacks that you can share with those around you as sharing is caring!
For those who pray at the beginning of the service we will be praying at the front from 9:30am rather than the usual 9:45am.
Dear Church,
The new academic year is fast approaching and for some this will be a time of change and new beginnings. It always feels like a time of renewal in the church calendar as we move from the 'selah rest' of August into a fresh new start of September. When the Israelites were about to cross over into the promised land, Joshua told them to "Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you." (Joshua 3:5). Take these final few weeks of August as a time of preparation. Be expectant that if we prepare ourselves, seeking the Lord during this time of rest, he will guide us into fresh beginnings. Let us all be expectant to see the Lord move both at church and in our home, work and school life. If we invite him, he will gladly be evident in every area of our lives. Let us be refreshed in him so that we can be used by him wherever he is at work around us.
With love,
Paula x
Join us this Sunday at 10AM as Katie unpacks The Commandments part 2. For those who are unable to attend in person please join us on YouTube: https://youtu.be/yBdVS-PFrLQ
SELAH | PAUSE We are taking an intentional pause for the month of August on a lot of what we do as church. However, while this is a physical pause it is not a spiritual one. We pray that in this time of rest and pause it will be one of strengthening and refreshing, of hearing from God and beautiful times of worship.
MARK is on SABBATICAL This means he will not be contactable throughout July and August. Please contact Katie, Paula or one of the elders if you need to at any point. Please also be aware that although the office will be open much of the summer, with staff away at different times there will be less capacity than normal.

Givaudan 10K Road Race - Sunday 8th October 2023
The route for this run starts at the Julie Rose stadium and comes directly past church. Last year we set up an extra support 'Hype' station. This was a fantastic opportunity for us to be out there with our community supporting a local event. We provided water, sweets, music and most importantly, supporting the runners as they came up the hill with lots of encouragement! We had so many appreciative comments from runners last year and we will be supporting them again this year. More details to follow....
If you would like to take part as a runner, the run is open to all abilities; details are: https://www.sportingeventsuk.com/enter-an-event/givaudan-ashford-10k
