The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it
Dear church family
- PSALM 24 -
"The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it;
for he founded it on the seas
and established it on the waters."
Last night around 30 of us met on Finberry to pray over the estate and seek God. We journeyed out from Monima and Eva's house to prayer walk. As we prayer walked, we soaked the ground in prayer (as the ground was being soaked in rain) and listened to what God was saying.
"Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not trust in an idol
or swear by a false god."
We met back again at Monima and Eva's, worshipped and shared with each other what we sensed God was saying. There was a real sense of God's intentionality in Finberry to bring back to himself those who have wandered and to establish a firm foundation on Christ for those who do not have that.
"They will receive blessing from the Lord
and vindication from God their Saviour.
Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face, God of Jacob."
There was a real sense of excitement for what God is going to do in Finberry through us and other believers. I encourage all of you to take some time to walk and pray around Finberry. You could jog or run around it as some have already done. It doesn't need to be an organised excursion but can be an impromptu dog walk or lunchtime jog or whatever. Let us all soak the ground in prayer to get ready for when God tells us to go! Before a big move of a God a prayer movement precedes it and we want to see a big move of God don't we so let's continually pray over that estate!
"Lift up your heads, you gates;
be lifted up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord strong and mighty,
the Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, you gates;
lift them up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory."
Lots of love
