CHRISTMAS

Dear church family

Here we are! Christmas is almost upon us and the strange in-between Christmas and New Years holiday that always feels a bit like a dream.

Thank you so much to all of you for being part of our church family this past year and what a year it has been! God has been so good to us and blessed us in so many ways. Also, a big thank you to everyone who has helped over this Christmas period. It has been so wonderful being able to bless our community through the different events that have run as well as the hampers.
As we look ahead, in the New Year we want to start with a focus on prayer. We will be opening the church each day from the 2nd-12th January between 8am-7pm* so that anyone is welcome to come in and spend some time in reflection and prayer. The first week will be focused on the verse, 'Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.' The second week will be focused on Psalm 37, particularly around the verse, 'Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.' (*Sunday 7th being the exception).

Let me close this last weekly update of 2023 with a few verses from Colossians 3:
'Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.'

BRABOURNE CAROLS ON THE WARREN - join us this evening (Friday 22nd) as we sing carols on the warren at Brabourne. Make sure to wrap up warm and bring a torch!

CHRISTMAS BREAK - the office will be shut between Christmas and the 2nd January.

RUAH | TRUST & DELIGHT from the 2nd-12th January there will be a space open in the main worship space at church to come, reflect and pray as we enter into 2024. It will be open from 8am-7pm on each of those days bar Sunday as we will be having our worship gathering.

NEW YEAR'S EVE GATHERING - on Sunday 31st at 10:30am we will be gathering to thank God for 2023 and head into the New Year praising the Lord and remembering his goodness. If you are unable to join us in person, the youtube link is: https://youtu.be/c9XYdZ6rviI

POWER HOUR - For the first two weeks of January we are going to meet on the Thursday evenings from 8-9pm for our whole church prayers. This will be on the 4th & 11th Jan.
