Vision Lunches & Baptism Course

Dear Church,

In September we have two exciting opportunities to bring to your attention for consideration and prayer.

On two Sundays (the 10th and the 17th) there are going to be 'Vision lunches' running after the morning service. This is for those who are new to church, those who are new-ish (those who may have been coming for a few months but haven't connected in fully yet) and those considering membership. Secondly, in September we are running an Exploring Baptism course which will be for up to an hour on teams (which is similar to zoom) on the 3rd, 10th, 17th and on the 24th it will be in person at Katie's manse for a shared meal. This course is for those considering getting baptized and would like to learn more about it. If you are interested please let Katie know at katie@willesboroughbaptist.church

We are so excited to have so many people joining our church and finding it as their home. Let us continue to do our best to make everyone feel welcome and loved and keep praying for those who God is yet to call to be part of our family. There is always room in God's kingdom for more so even though we are struggling for space let us continue to make everyone feel wanted and part of our family and make space for what God is wanting to do!

SELAH | PAUSE We are taking an intentional pause for the month of August on a lot of what we do as church. However, while this is a physical pause it is not a spiritual one. We pray that in this time of rest and pause it will be one of strengthening and refreshing, of hearing from God and beautiful times of worship.

Set Up 2 Worship on the 29th August Steve and Joanne Cocking from Set Up 2 Worship are joining us as part of their UK tour. Steve and Joanne visit the UK every year to bless the UK church with their experience and passion for setting up instruments for worship. They have recently served at Big Church Festival and David's tent where they have been working at guitar techs. Youth Beach Trip on the 1st September the youth are starting back with a beach trip to Dymchurch. We would like the young people to sign up so to do so they can download the Willesborough Baptist Church app, join the 'Ignite' group on the chat section and let us know if they are coming and if they want fish & chips. Givaudan 10K Training Run - For those thinking of running in the Givaudan 10K road race on 8th October (or if you would like to run with others), Rachel invites you to join her for some training runs starting from the church car park. Contact Rachel for more details on 07754 032449.

Givaudan 10K Road Race - Sunday 8th October 2023
The route for this run starts at the Julie Rose stadium and comes directly past church. Last year we set up an extra support 'Hype' station. This was a fantastic opportunity for us to be out there with our community supporting a local event. We provided water, sweets, music and most importantly, supporting the runners as they came up the hill with lots of encouragement! We had so many appreciative comments from runners last year and we will be supporting them again this year. More details to follow....

"The 'Real' Meal"
Men getting real with God and one another. Come and quench your thirst, enjoy some food, make new friends and chill out together.
Where? Woolpack Pub, Smeeth & Brabourne Lees.
When? 7pm for 7:30pm on 4th September, then 1st Monday of each month until the end of the year.
