What is your calling?

Dear church family

1 Corinthians 12 teaches us that as one body every part is needed and needs to work together so that the body functions well. Paul states in 1 Corinthians 12, '15 Now if the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, "Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body," it would not for that reason stop being part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? 18 But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. 19 If they were all one part, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body.'

Every part matters. Every person has a part to play and together we are so much better.
We believe there is a reason that all of you are part of our family here at WBC and as we are growing there are more opportunities for us all to come together to serve God's kingdom. From putting out chairs to sharing our faith with those coming to Family, Food and Fun, we can all play a part to help serve our church family and community.

There are also seasons for serving in different areas and seasons to take a step back. Sonya has been faithfully serving our church in many areas for years and recently her job role has changed and as a result she is no longer free to run our ministry to parents and babies called Bumps to Babies each week. This means we are looking for someone to step into this role. Bumps to Babies is an important ministry where we get to love and support new mums and dads from our community. This commitment would be for someone to be there every Tuesday morning during term-time and would include set up, packing down and washing of the equipment and toys. If you are reading this and thinking God might be putting it on your heart to do, please get in touch with Sonya and/or someone else in the leadership team.

BUMPS TO BABIES - ON PAUSE Some of you may have seen on social media that we have had to take the difficult decision to pause Bumps to Babies for a few weeks.
As mentioned above, the lovely Sonya's job role is changing and as a result she is having to work full time which means she's no longer free to run Bumps to Babies each week.
We are putting out this plea to our church family as we are looking for someone (or a core team) who can commit to be able to be there every Tuesday morning during term-time - including the set up, pack down and washing of all the equipment/toys!
